North Haven resident Rachael Hurwitz wins outstanding student achievement award at Connecticut College

Rachael Hurwitz, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the Antonio Rebolledo Memorial Prize, which is given for excellence in Spanish established by former students and friends in memory of Professor Antonio Rebolledo. Hurwitz was presented with the award at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.

Hurwitz, a 2007 graduate of North Haven High School, is the daughter of Laura and Samuel Hurwitz of North Haven.

At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
