Old Saybrook resident Ashley Glorioso wins outstanding student achievement award at Connecticut College

Ashley Glorioso, a sophomore at Connecticut College, was awarded the Gender and Women's Studies Award for Feminist Collective Action, which is given to the staff of the THINK S.A.F.E. Project for their work to make a campus climate safer for women students. Glorioso was presented with the award at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.

Glorioso, a 2009 graduate of Old Saybrook High School, is the daughter of Shannon and Stephen Glorioso of Old Saybrook.

At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
